My New Stove!
We had Cameron Lovejoy, an unschooling friend, here the past two weeks working on the farm, and while he was here, he helped move in my new cookstove. Yay! I'm so pleased! It's obviously not hooked up yet—hopefully it will be by October. We still need to build a hearth, pipe it, and possibly plumb it as well, as it has a rear water reservoir for heating water.
Isn't it pretty? Makes my farmhouse kitchen feel complete, and I can't wait to cook on it this fall and winter.

that stove is so cool, i love it. it will be a year or so before we migrate that direction. although we are getting prepared in case our hand is forced sooner.
I love the stove. It brings back great memories of my grandmother cooking on the black one she had. What I like about it so much is you can cook and heat the house at the same time.

Beautiful stove. I remember heating and cooking on a woodstove several years ago. I loved sitting a stew or spaghetti sauce on the back and letting it simmer most of the day. Have fun.
